The main result of this paper states that every braided bialgebra quotient of the tensor algebra of a triangular braided vector space admits a Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) type basis. This is used to prove a generalization of the results of \textit{V. K. Kharchenko} [in Algebra Logika 38, No. 4, 476-507 (1999); translation in Algebra Logic 38, No. 4, 259-276 (1999; Zbl 0936.16034)]. The author points out that, in his context, no general algorithm for computing the generating set of the PBW basis can exist. The main result is applied to study Nichols algebras of simple \(U_q(sl_2)\)-modules of low dimension and Hopf algebras generated by an Abelian group \(G\) and a finite-dimensional \(G\)-Yetter-Drinfeld module of skew primitve elements.
