The aim of the paper is to explore the connection between pointed Hopf algebras and triangular braidings. More precisely, the author establishes that right triangular braidings are exactly those braidings that are induced by Yetter-Drinfeld modules over pointed Hopf algebras with Abelian coradical which are completely reducible as \(kG(H)\)-modules. The author introduces a reduced version of the FRT-construction and calculates the reduced FRT-construction for braidings induced by \(U_q(g)\)-modules.
