In \textit{E. Harboure, L. de Rosa, C. Segovia} and \textit{J. L. Torrea} [Math. Ann. 328, 653--682 (2004; Zbl 1061.42008)] the \(L_p\)-boundedness of higher order Riesz transforms associated to Hermite functions is proved along the lines of the proof for the classical Euclidean Riesz transforms due to \textit{E. M. Stein}, see [Singular integrals and differentiability properties of functions, Princeton, N. J.: Princeton University Press (1970; Zbl 0207.13501)]. Also, in \textit{K. Stempak} and \textit{J. L. Torrea} [J. Funct. Anal. 202, 443--472 (2003; Zbl 1040.42015)] the authors give a more natural proof of the boundedness of the (first-order) Riesz transforms associated to Hermite functions in \(L_p(w)\) for Muckenhoupt \(A_p\)-weights \(w\) by showing that the transforms are Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators. This proof follows the one in \textit{S. Thangavelu} [Colloq. Math. 64, 103--113 (1993; Zbl 0821.42016)]. In the present paper, the authors carry out the program from their above mentioned earlier paper, for higher order Riesz transforms, and for the associated higher order Poisson integrals. In a final section the imaginary powers of the harmonic oscillator are investigated, using tools developed in the previous work.
