The authors consider the Cauchy problem \[ \partial_tu=K(t,x,D_x)u +f(t,x),\;u(0,x)=g(x),\;(t,x)\in[0,T]\times\mathbb{R}^n, \] where \(K\) is a matrix of pseudodifferential operators with symbol \(k(t,x,n)\) satisfying the estimates \[ \bigl | D^\alpha_x,D_\eta^\beta(k(t,x,\eta)-k(s,x, \eta))\bigr|\leq C_{\alpha \beta}|t-s|\log|t-s|(1+|x|)^{1-|\alpha|} (1+|\eta|)^{1-|\beta|}. \] This assumption includes the so-called log-Lipschitz hypotheses of \textit{F. Colombini} and \textit{N. Lerner} [Duke Math. J. 77, No. 3, 657--698 (1995; Zbl 0840.35067)], concerning regularity with respect to the time-variable, and the SG-behaviour at infinite with respect to the space-variables, as in \textit{S. Coriasco} and \textit{L. Rodino} [Ric. Mat. 48, 25--43 (1999; Zbl 0935.35106)]. The authors prove that the Cauchy problem is well-posed in the Schwartz spaces \({\mathcal S}(\mathbb{R}^n_x)\) and \({\mathcal S}'(\mathbb{R}_x^n)\). Precise estimates are given in weighted Sobolev spaces, which show a loss in the behaviour at infinity, with respect to the space-variables, of the solutions. A generalization to the quasi-linear case is finally presented.
