If we view Hopf algebras as quantum analogues of (function algebras) on an algebraic or Lie group, their Hopf-Galois extensions and objects can be seen as quantum analogues of principal fibre bundles and torsors. One may introduce two natural equivalence relations among Hopf-Galois extensions: isomorphism and homotopy. In both cases the classification of equivalence classes may be a hard problem and most of the explicit computations dealt with in the existing literature refer to finite-dimensional Hopf algebras. The present paper provides the classification up to isomorphism of Galois and bi-Galois objects of a family of infinite-dimensional Hopf algebras introduced by \textit{M. Dubois-Violette} and \textit{G. Launer} [in Phys. Lett. B 245, No. 2, 175-177 (1990; Zbl 1119.16307)]. This family provides a quantum analogue of a group preserving a non-degenerate bilinear form. Since the category of representations of these Hopf algebras is monoidally equivalent to the category of representations of the 1-parameter family of quantized function algebras \(O_q(\text{SL}(2))\) over \(\text{SL}(2)\), Galois and bi-Galois objects of \(O_q(\text{SL}(2))\) are also classified up to isomorphism. As far as the classification up to homotopy is concerned, a sufficient condition for homotopy equivalence of \(O_q(\text{SL}(2))\)-Galois objects is given.
