In this paper G. Lu defines Gromov-Witten invariants for geometrically bounded (but possibly non-compact) symplectic manifolds. A symplectic manifold is geometrically bounded if it has positive injectivity radius and sectional curvature bounded from above. Since the analytic definition of the Gromov-Witten invariants for closed symplectic manifolds is complicated, it is not suprising that the definition is complicated in the geometrically bounded case. In addition to the basic definition and properties, Lu proves a virtual localization formula for these invariants and proves properties such as the degree, fundamental class, divisor, dilaton and splitting axioms.
