\textit{R. M. Guralnick} and \textit{G. Malle} [in J. Algebra 257, No. 2, 348-372 (2002; Zbl 1017.20005) and Proc. Gainesville Conf. finite groups 2003, de Gruyter, Berlin. 117-183 (2004; Zbl 1085.20004)] started a classification of the 2F-modules for finite quasi-simple groups. A 2F-module over a finite field in characteristic \(p\) is an irreducible module \(V\) for \(G\), \(G\) acting faithfully, and \(|V|\geq|A|^2|C_V(A)|\) for some nontrivial elementary Abelian \(p\)-subgroup \(A\) of \(G\). In the J. Algebra paper there were two possible cases unresolved. In this paper, the author shows that both cases, \(Co_1\), \(Co_2\) on the irreducible part of the Leech lattice module in characteristic 2, do not lead to a 2F-module. He also gets that the 2-ranks of \(M\), \(2B\), \(B\) are 15, 15 and 14, respectively.
