The paper deals with the investigation of the heat transfer through saturated porous medium filled in a vertical annular cylinder, by means of a two-temperature thermal nonequilibrium model. The results established in the present work show that the isotherms of the fluid move towards the hot surface and away from the cold surface when the radius ratio is increased. It is also argued that the Nusselt number of the solid phase does not vary much with respect to the ratio of the annulus when the inter-phase heat transfer coefficient and the modified conductivity ratio are small. The finite element method is utilized throughout the paper to solve the governing partial differential equations.
