A construction of hyper-Kähler metrics on cotangent bundles of Hermitian symmetric spaces is provided by \textit{O. Biquard} and \textit{P. Gauduchon} [Hyper-Kähler metrics on cotangent bundles of Hermitian symmetric spaces, New York: Dekker, (1996; Zbl 0879.53051), C.R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Sér. I Mat. 323, No. 12, 1259--1264 (1996; Zbl 0866.58007)]. In the present work the author shows that each connected component \(\text{Gr}_{\text{res}}^{j}\) \((j\in \mathbb{Z})\) of the restricted Grassmannian \(\text{Gr}_{\text{res}}\) introduced by \textit{A. Pressley} and \textit{G. Segal} in [Loop Groups. Oxford: Clarendon Press (1988; Zbl 0638.22009)] gives an example of an infinite dimensional Hermitian symmetric space whose cotangent space can be obtained by an infinite-dimensional hyper-Kähler quotient of a Banach manifold by a Banach Lie group. Moreover, the resulting quotient space can be identified with a natural complexification \(\mathcal{O}_{j}^{\mathbb{C}}\) of \(\text{Gr}_{\text{res}}^{j}\) consisting of pairs \((P,Q)\) of elements of \(\text{Gr}_{\text{res}}^{j}\) such that \(P\cap Q^{\bot} = \{0\}\). The Kähler potentials associated with the natural complex structure of the cotangent space of \(\text{Gr}_{\text{res}}^{j}\) and with the natural complex structure of the complexification \(\mathcal{O}_{j}^{\mathbb{C}}\) are computed using Konstant-Souriou's theory of prequantization.
