The authors consider the Fučik spectrum for a system of second order ordinary differential equations with Dirichlet or Neumann boundary values. By the implicit function theorem, they give a local description of the Fučik spectrum and then they deduce a global one. The main result of this paper is that the Fučik spectrum consists of global \(C^1\)-surfaces, and that through each eigenvalue of the linear system exactly two of these surfaces pass. Other qualitative properties of these spectral surface are given and they study the related problems with nonlinearities which cross asymptotically some eigenvalues of the linear system. Finally they conclude their work by giving some interesting open problems.
