An \(\text{sl}_n\)-oper on a smooth algebraic curve \(X\) is an \(n\)th order differential operator which can be expressed as \(\Delta^{(n)} = \frac{d^n}{dx^n}+u_{n-2}\frac{d^{n-2}}{dx^{n-2}}+ \ldots +u_1 \frac{d}{dx}+u\). The author studies Euler-Poincaré flows on \(\text{sl}_3\) and \(\text{sl}_4\) opers of \(S^1\) and their relations with the Drienfield-Sokolov equation, Hirota-Satsuma equation, other coupled KdV type systems and Wadati type eigenvalue problem associated to the factorization of fourth order opers. The space of \(\text{sl}_n\) opers has a \(\text{Vect} (S^1)\) module structure. Guha looks at several evolution equations associated to the flow induced by the action of \(\text{Vect}(S^1)\). This approach yields new coupled KdV type equations, as well as Riccati and generalized Riccati equations.
