This article provides definitive results for the continuity properties on various function spaces of the Bergman projection and the Szegő projection of a bounded pseudoconvex domain~\(\Omega\) of finite type in \(\mathbb{C}^{n}\) having locally diagonalizable Levi form. Namely, the Bergman projection maps the Sobolev space \(\mathcal{L}^{p}_{s}(\Omega)\) continuously into itself when \(1<p<\infty\) and \(0\leq s\); the Lipschitz space \(\Lambda_{\alpha}(\Omega)\) continuously into itself (even into the nonisotropic space \(\Gamma_{\alpha}(\Omega)\)) when \(0<\alpha<\infty\); and the space \(L^{\infty}(\Omega)\) continuously into BMO\((\Omega)\). Corresponding results hold for the Szegő projection: it maps the Sobolev space \(L^{p}_{s}(b\Omega)\) continuously into itself when \(1<p<\infty\) and \(s\in\mathbb{N}\) and maps the Lipschitz space \(\Lambda_{\alpha}(b\Omega)\) continuously into itself (even into the nonisotropic space \(\Gamma_{\alpha}(b\Omega)\)) when \(0<\alpha<\infty\). The proofs follow the scheme used by \textit{J.~D. McNeal} and \textit{E.~M. Stein} for the case of convex domains of finite type [Duke Math. J. 73, No. 1, 177--199 (1994; Zbl 0801.32008) and Math. Z. 224, No. 4, 519--553 (1997; Zbl 0948.32004)], but controlling the local geometry is more complicated.
