To verify the universal validity of the `two-sided' monotonicity condition introduced in their paper [Acta Math. Hung. 108, No. 1--2, 161--169 (2005; Zbl 1098.42003)], the authors apply it to include more classical examples. The present paper selects the \(L^p\) convergence case for this purpose. Furthermore, Theorem 3 shows the improvements are not trivial.
