The Yoneda isomorphism commutes with homology (Q888832)

In the first part of the paper it is proved that for every right exact functor from an abelian category to abelian groups, Yoneda's natural isomorphism commutes with homology (Theorem 1.3). Therefore, it also commutes with functor derivation (Theorem 1.4). In the second part, the authors extend these results to semiabelian domains (Theorem 4.3). Moreover, an interpretation in terms of satellites and higher central extensions is presented in Section 5. In the last part of the paper, some applications of the above results are described: semiabelian (higher) torsion theories and the associated theory of (higher) universal (central) extensions.
