Let \(M\) be a compact complex manifold, and let \(\mathrm{Diff}_0(M)\) be the connected component of the identity of its diffeomorphism group, i.e., the group of isotopies. By \(\mathrm{Comp}\) is denoted the space of complex structures on \(M\), equipped with a structure of Fréchet manifold. The corresponding Teichmüller space \(\mathrm{Teich} := \mathrm{Comp} /\mathrm{Diff}_0(M)\) is the space of all complex structures on \(M\) up to the action of the group \(\mathrm{Diff}_0(M)\) of isotopies. The mapping class group, known as ``a group of diffeotopies'', is the group \(\Gamma := \mathrm{Diff}(M) /\mathrm{Diff}_0(M)\) of connected components of the diffeomorphism group which acts on the Teichmüller space in a natural way. Considering that \(M\) is a complex torus of complex dimension \(\geq2\) or a hyper-Kähler manifold with \(b_2 > 3\), the author proves that \(M\) is ergodic, unless \(M\) has maximal Picard rank, (i.e., there is a countable number of such \(M\)). Using this result, the author shows that all hyper-Kähler manifolds are Kobayashi non-hyperbolic.
