The paper deals with the regularity properties of solutions of mixed type evolution. The author introduce a parabolic De Giorgi class of order \(2\) related with a mixed type class of evolution equation, for example like \[ \mu(x) \frac{\partial u}{\partial t}-\Delta u=0, \] where \(\mu\) can be positive negative and null, so that the elliptic-parabolic and forward-backward parabolic equations are included. For function in this De Giorgi class the author proves the local boundedness and an Harnack type inequality, which implies the local Hölder-continuity, in particular in the interface where \(\mu\) changes sign. The paper is the short version of a forthcoming article of the same author [J. Differ. Equations 260, No. 6, 5259--5355 (2016; Zbl 1401.35008)].
