The authors considered the following nonlinear version of the Chafee-Infante problem (PE): \[ u_t=\varepsilon\;\left(|u_x|^{p-2}\;u_x\right)_x+|u|^{q-2}\;u(1-|u|^r),\quad (x,t) \in (0,1) \times (0,+\infty), \] \[ u(0,t)=u(1,t)=0,\quad 0<t<+\infty,\quad \quad u(x,0)=u_{0}(x),\quad x \in (0,1), \] where \(p>2\), \(q \geq 2\), \(r>0\) and \(\varepsilon>0\). In the paper, the continuity properties of (PE) with respect to the diffusion parameter \(\varepsilon\) for fixed values of \(p\) and \(q\) is investigated. Regarding the specific results, we quote part of the authors' summary: ``We obtain the upper semicontinuity at any value \(\varepsilon>0\) and exhibit cases where the lower semicontinuity of the set of equilibria with respect to the diffusion is always true. Finally, we study a particular case where the lower semicontinuity of the equilibrium set occurs for almost every \(\varepsilon>0\) but fails when \(\varepsilon\) belongs to the bifurcation sequence. As a consequence, we show that the attractor cannot be continuous at these points.''
