We consider four inverse problems for the heat equation in a noncylindrical domain. The unknown source function f is recovered under different assumptions on the input data and f itself. The typical problem is reduced to the system of linear Volterra integral equations. Assuming f to be independent of the y-coordinate allows to separate that system, with the first equation solved uniquely by the method of successive approximations and the second equation, of the convolution type, handled by integral transforms. As a result, the uniqueness theorems are established. The parabolic potentials in noncylindrical domains are used as a link between the inverse problem and the corresponding systems of integral equations.
