The paper deals with the local solvability of linear partial differential operators with analytic coefficients. Some necessary conditions for the local solvability in the class of Gevrey functions are obtained. Moreover the results of local unsolvability in the class of Gevrey functions supply results in the \(C^{\infty}\) category which were not previously known.
