The main result in the paper is the following theorem. Suppose f is a complex-valued function in a domain \(G\subset {\mathbb{C}}\) and the following conditions hold: (a) f is separately continuous with respect to x and y, \(z=x+iy\in G.\) (b) The first order partial derivatives \(f_ x\), \(f_ y\) exist everywhere in G except on a set \(\cup^{\infty}_{n=0}E_ n\), where each \(E_ n\) is closed and of finite Hausdorff length. (c) The Cauchy-Riemann equation \(f_ x+if_ y=0\) is satisfied almost everywhere in G. \[ (d)\;\iint_{G}| f|^ p dx dy<\infty \text{ for some } p>0. \] Then f is holomorphic in G. In the case \(p=1\) the theorem has been proved by \textit{G. Kh. Sindalovski} [Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 128(170), No.3, 324-382 (1985; Zbl 0593.30002)] who posed the question whether the result stated above is true. The reviewed paper also contains a theorem in which (d) is replaced by a more general condition.
