The author begins his book with consideration of Mechanics as a fundamental science in Physics and Engineering. He observes that in the 20th century a couple of significant ideas pushed forward the classical field of dynamics, two with respect to the basis of dynamics are connected with bifurcations and chaos and ``non-smooth mechanics''. Two more application-oriented concepts came up in parallel with technical development of computers and of space technologies. In the following the author considers fundamentals and applications of dynamics, mainly with respect to large dynamical systems typical for modern industry and its products. The bases are models and models should be as simple as possible and so complex as necessary, not more and not less. The author notes. The concept of the book is mainly determined by the experiences of the author. The book presents is the first part the theoretical foundation of dynamics and in the second part a collection of industrial examples. The author focuses on general dynamics, on multibody system dynamics including rigid and elastic components and on the consequences of bilateral and unilateral constraints. Additional information can be obtained from Contents of the book: 1. Introduction, 2. Fundamentals, 3. Constraint Systems, 4. Dynamics of Hydraulic Systems, 5. Power Transmission, 6. Timing Equipment, 7. Robotics, 8. Walking, References.
