Let \(M\) be a compact Riemannian manifold of dimension \(\geq 3\), and \(f:M\to\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\), a codimension one isometric immersion. The authors prove that \(f\) is equivariant with respect to a homomorphism \(\Phi\) of the identity component of the isometry group of \(M\) into \(SO (n+1)\) Assuming that a closed group of isometries of \(H\) act polarly on \(M\) (i.e. there is a connected complete immersed section of the action), the \(\Phi\) image of this group also acts polarly on \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\). The authors deduce that \(f(M)=\Phi(G)(L)\), where \(G\) is the group in question, and \(L\) is a hypersurface of a section invariant under the Weyl group of the \(\Phi(G)\)-action. Finally, the authors also derive a variety of sufficient conditions for \(f\) to be a rotation hypersurface.
