Let \(\mathcal{G}\) be a simple complex Lie algebra. A toroidal Lie algebra is the universal covering algebra of an extension \(\mathcal{G} \otimes A\), where \(A\) is an algebra of Laurent polynomials in several variables. Such a Lie algebra is centrally isogenous to the centerless core of an extended affine Lie algebra, which in turn is a Lie torus, see \textit{Y. Yoshii} [Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 42, 739--762 (2006; Zbl 1148.17017)]. The main result of this paper is a finite presentation for Lie tori in type \(B\). The proof is based on some explicit realization of Lie algebras graded by root systems of type \(B\) by means of the generalized Tits construction, cf.\ \textit{G. Benkart} and \textit{E. Zelmanov} [Invent. Math. 126, 1--45 (1996; Zbl 0871.17024)]. Despite involving rather technical computations, the structure of the proof is quite clearly delineated.
