The aim of this book is to give efficiently the basic concepts of calculus and its applications. Topics are introduced informally before being given a proper formulation. By and large proofs are omitted but it is said that they are available online although the reviewer was unable to do this; two different browsers were tried. There are many examples, counterexamples and exercises with at least a hint of the solutions. The chapters are: Basic notions, Functions, Limits and continuity, Local comparison of functions, Numerical sequences and series, Differential calculus, Taylor expansions and applications, Geometry in the plane and in space, Integral calculus, Ordinary differential equations. If the online notes were easily available this would be an excellent book for students whose main interest is not in mathematics. Reviewer's update on the last sentence: On further investigation the website seems to be readily available and it is as good as the book. The two together make an excellent choice not only for the non-mathematicians mentioned in the review but for anyone studying a first course in calculus.
