Note on orbifold Chow ring of semi-projective toric Deligne-Mumford stacks (Q937847)

The authors study the orbifold Chow ring of semi-projective toric Deligne-Mumford (DM) stacks, generalizing the orbifold Chow ring formula of projective toric DM stacks obtained earlier by Borisov-Chen-Smith. Their main ideas are to use the ordinary Chow ring structure of semi-projective toric varieties and to show that each twisted sector is also a semi-projective toric DM stack. As applications, the authors considered the Lawrence toric DM stacks which are a special type of semi-projective toric DM stacks. It is proved that the orbifold Chow ring of a Lawrence toric DM stack is isomorphic to the orbifold Chow ring of its associated hypertoric DM stack, which has been investigated in an earlier paper of the same authors.
