A toric Deligne-Mumford stack is a quotient stack associated to a stacky fan \(\Sigma =(N,\Sigma, \beta)\). The stacky fan consists of a finitely generated abelian group \(N\), a simplicial fan \(\Sigma =N\otimes_{\mathbb Z}{\mathbb Q}\), and a finite collection of elements \(\beta\) of \(N\). By annihilating the torsion part of \(N\) one obtains the reduced stacky fan \(\overline{\Sigma} =(\overline{N}, \Sigma, \overline{\beta})\). The toric Deligne-Mumford stack \({\mathcal X}(\overline{\Sigma})\) associated to a reduced stacky fan \(\overline{\Sigma}\) is a toric orbifold. The integral Chow rings of toric orbifolds \({\mathcal X}(\overline{\Sigma})\) were computed by \textit{I. Iwanari} [Int. Math. Res. Not. No. 24, 4709--4725 (2009; Zbl 1230.14076)], and described as the Stanley-Reisner ring of the reduced stacky fan \(\overline{\Sigma}\). The authors of the present article introduce the Stanley-Reisner ring of a stacky fan \(\Sigma\). Their main result is that if the coarse moduli space of the toric Deligne-Mumford stack \({\mathcal X}(\Sigma)\) is semi-projective, and the elements \(\beta\) generate the torsion part of the abelian group \(N\), then the integral Chow ring of \({\mathcal X}(\Sigma)\) equals the Stanley-Reiser ring of the stacky fan.
