A graded associative algebra \(A\) is \(\mathcal K_2\) if the algebra \(E(A)=\bigoplus_{n,m}\text{Ext}^{n,m}(A)\) is generated as an algebra by \(\bigoplus_mE^{i,m}(A)\) for \( i=1,2\). The class of \(\mathcal K_2\)-algebras is closed under twisting \(A\mapsto A^\sigma\) and twisted tensor product \(B\otimes^\sigma A\), regular central extensions, Ore extensions and certain factors. For monomial algebras \(A\) there is found a criterion under which \(A\) is a \(\mathcal K_2\)-algebra. There are some additional results on spectral sequences and resolutions of modules over \(\mathcal K_2\)-algebras.
