Canonical metrics on complex manifold (Q943400)

This is a survey article presenting the most important \textit{canonical} metrics on complex manifolds, i.e., those metrics for which every biholomorphic mapping is an isometry. The author discusses the Carathéodory metric, Kobayashi metric, Bergman metric, generalized Carathéodory metric, and Kähler-Einstein metric, their interrelations and various applications.
