In [\textit{R.\,Aron, C.\,Boyd} and \textit{Y.\,S.\thinspace Choi}, J.~Aust.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 70, No.\,~3, 387--400 (2001; Zbl 1036.46032)], it was shown that every norm-attaining 2-homogeneous polynomial on complex \(c_0\) has a unique norm-preserving extension to \(\ell_\infty\). In this paper, the author proves that the norm-attaining assumption on the polynomial can be removed.
