Properties of positive bounded travelling wave solutions of a time-delayed reaction diffusion equation are investigated. The authors show that every travelling wave solution is eventually monotone or slowly oscillating around a steady state. Moreover, the maximal travelling wave speed is determined, where this quantity is characterized by the property that the equation does not support any travelling wave solutions with larger wave speed.
