The higher rank numerical range is a generalization of usual numerical range for operators or matrices. It was historically introduced in the context of quantum error correcting codes. The present paper studies the higher rank numerical range under low rank perturbations. The authors prove the inclusion relation between the rank-\(k\) numerical range of an operator \(A\) acting on a finite-dimensional Hilbert space and the rank-\(k\)-\(r\) numerical range of the operator \(A+F\), where the rank of \(F\) is less than \(r\). This result contributes to the theory of quantum error correcting codes. Some specific results for the infinite-dimensional case are also given.
