New constructions of two slim dense near hexagons (Q952664)

A geometrical construction of the unique slim dense near hexagon with parameters \((s,t,t_2)=(2,5,\left\{1,2\right\})\) is presented. Using this construction, the rank 3 symplectic dual polar space \(DSp(6,2)\), the unique slim dense near hexagon with \((s,t,t_2)=(2,6,2)\), is also constructed. Both near hexagons are obtained from two copies of the unique generalized quadrangle with parameters \((2,2)\).
