Additive maps between standard operator algebras compressing certain spectral functions (Q960635)

Under some technical assumptions, the authors characterize surjective additive maps between standard operator algebras on Banach spaces that compress various spectral functions (e.g., the left spectrum, the right spectrum, the boundary of the spectrum, etc.). The result is the same for each of these functions, i.e., the map in question is either an isomorphism, a conjugate isomorphism, an antiisomorphism, or a conjugate antiisomorphism.
