The \(q\)-Bernstein polynomials (operators ) were intensively studied by \textit{A. Lupas} [Prepr., ``Babes-Bolyai'' Univ., Fac. Math., Res. Semin. 9, 85--92 (1987; Zbl 0684.41014)], \textit{G. M. Phillips} [Interpolation and approximation by polynomials, New York, NY: Springer (2003; Zbl 1023.41002)] and many others. The main result of the present paper is Theorem 1, where the author obtained estimations for the central moments of the \(q\)-Bernstein operators. In addition,explicit formulae for the central moments of orders 3 and 4 are established.
