Given many independent and identically-distributed copies of a quantum system described either by the state \(\rho\) or \(\sigma\), what is the optimal measurement to get information about the identity of the true state? The error rate function, which is in a very similar fashion to quantum Stein's lemma, is determined in term of the quantum relative entropy.
