A Kleinian singularity is the quotient of \(\mathbb{C}^2\) by a finite subgroup \(G\subset SU(2)\); a Fuchsian singularity is defined by the action of a Fuchsian group \(\Gamma\subset PSL(2, \mathbb{R})\) on the tangent bundle \(T_\mathbb{H}\) fo the upper half plane \(\mathbb{H}\). It is proved (in a uniform and more geometric proof) that the coordinate algebra of a Kleinian singularity and of a Fuchsian singularity of genus \(0\) is the quotient of characteristic polynomials of two Coxeter elements. These Coxeter elements are interpreted geometrically, using 2--Calabi--Yau triangulated categories and spherical twist functors.
