The main result of this paper is the following elegant general theorem: Theorem A'. Let \(G\) be a group and let \(A\leqslant\Aut(G)\) be Abelian such that \(G\) is a union of a finite number of \(A\)-orbits. Then: a) \(G\) is Abelian-by-finite; b) if \(G\) is torsion-free, then \(G\) is a divisible Abelian group; c) if \(G\) is infinite, then \(A\) has infinite exponent.
