This article provides precise nontangential estimates for the Bergman kernel function on the diagonal, the Bergman metric, and the holomorphic sectional curvature of the Bergman metric on model domains in \(\mathbb{C}^{n+1}\) defined by an inequality of the following form: \(|F(z_1,\dots,z_n)|^2<\Im z_{n+1}\), where \(F\) is a holomorphic mapping from \(\mathbb{C}^n\) to some \(\mathbb{C}^m\). The estimate for the Bergman kernel shows the character of the results. Fix a point~\(p\) in the boundary of the model domain, a nontangential cone lying inside the domain and having vertex at~\(p\), and a suitable bounded neighborhood~\(U\) of~\(p\) (a large ball, say). Then the Bergman kernel function on the diagonal for the intersection of~\(U\) with the model domain has growth within the cone that is comparable to a possible logarithmic factor times the absolute value of the defining function of the model domain raised to the power \(-2-c_p\), where \(c_p\)~is the complex singularity exponent at~\(p\) of the function \(|F-F(p)|\) (that is, the cut-off exponent~\(c\) for integrability of \(|F-F(p)|^{-2c}\) in a neighborhood of~\(p\)). The proof makes essential use of \textit{H. Hironaka}'s theorem on resolution of singularities [Ann. Math. (2) 79, 109--203, 205--326 (1964; Zbl 0122.38603)].
