      The author gives an example of a domain \(G\subset \subset {\mathbb C}^ N\), pseudoconvex with smooth boundary, for which \(0\in bG\) is a point of finite type [in the sense of \textit{J. P. D'Angelo}, Ann. Math. (2) 115, 615--637 (1982; Zbl 0488.32008) and \textit{J. J. Kohn}, J. Differ. Geom. 6, 523--542 (1972; Zbl 0256.35060)] and the Bergman function \(K_ G(z,z)\) does not grow like a rational power of \(\text{dist}(z,bG)\) when \(z\to 0\) (nontangentially). In fact he shows that one can take \(G=\{z\in {\mathbb C}^ 3;\quad \Re z_ 1+| z_ 3|^ 6+| z_ 2|^ 2| z_ 3|^ 2+| z_ 3|^ 6<0\}.\)
