      This paper aims to provide a new control method for flocking shape. Besides traditional flocking control terms which generally include gradient-based term, velocity consensus term and navigational feedback, the authors add a piecewise smooth control term to configurate the flocking shape. Three kinds of flocking shapes are obtained based on the proved stability. This paper is organized as follows. In Section 2, the authors introduce the basic concepts, notations and some preliminary knowledge. The main results on the dynamic analysis of flocking shape control and simulations are presented in Section 3 and 4. Finally, concluding remarks are made in Section 5.
