The authors study the canonical solution operators of some partial differential operators on the \(k\)-polydisc, restricted to the Bergman space of the polydisc. They show that the solution operator to \(\partial^{k} /\partial^{k}\overline{z}_{i}\) is not compact, while the solution operator to \(\partial^{k}/\partial\overline{z}_{1}\cdots\partial\overline{z}_{k}\) is compact.
