Results of Vaserstein and Shalom are combined to prove Kazhdan's Property (T) for various topological groups of the form SL\((n, C(X, {\mathbb R}))\) or SL\((n, C(X, {\mathbb C}))\), for \(n \geq 3\) and \(X\) a topological subspace of a Euclidean space.
