Let \(Y\) be an algebraic hyper-Kähler variety. \textit{A. Beauville} [Cambridge University Press. London Mathematical Society Lecture Note Series 344, 38--53 (2007; Zbl 1130.14006)] conjectured that any polynomial relation \(P([c_1(L_i)])= 0\) in \(H^*(Y,\mathbb{Q})\), \(L_i\in\text{Pic\,}Y\), already holds at the level of Chow groups: \(P(c_1(L_i))= 0\) in \(CH^*(Y)\). Led by the results of \textit{A. Beauville} and \textit{C. Voisin} [J. Algebr. Geom. 13, No. 3, 417--426 (2004; Zbl 1069.14006)], the author proposes in this paper the following conjecture which asserts that any polynomial relation \(P([c_1(L_j)],[c_i(T_Y)])= 0\) in \(H^*(Y,\mathbb{Q})\), \(L_j\in\text{Pic\,}Y\), already holds at the level of Chow groups: \(P(c_1(L_j),c_i(T_Y))= 0\) in \(CH^*(Y)\), and shows that this conjecture holds for \(Y= S^{[n]}\), for \(n\leq 2(b_2(S)- \rho)+ 4\), where \(S^{[n]}\) is the Hilbert scheme of length \(n\) subschemes of an algebraic \(K3\) surface \(S\).
