Let \(G\subset O(n)\) be a compact group of isometries acting on \(\mathbb R^n\), and \(X\subset \mathbb R^n\) be a bounded domain transformed into itself under the action of \(G\). The boundary of \(X\) is not assumed smooth. Let \(H_\chi\subset L^2(X)\) be an isotypic subspace corresponding to an irreducible unitary representation \(\chi\) of \(G\). The authors consider a symmetric elliptic classical pseudodifferential operator on \(L^2(\mathbb R^n)\) commuting with the above representation of \(G\). The natural operations of extension and restriction of functions, with the subsequent Friedrichs extension, give rise to a selfadjoint operator on \(L^2(X)\) and its part \(A_\chi\) in \(H_\chi\). The operator \(A_\chi\) has a discrete spectrum, the asymptotics of which (the principal term and the remainder estimate) is found. This problem is connected with the action of \(G\) on \(T^*(X)\) leading to singular quotients. The authors develop some desingularization tools to deal with this situation. The case of a finite group \(G\) was considered in the first part of this series [\textit{P.\,Ramacher}, J.~Funct.\ Anal.\ 255, No.\,~4, 777--818 (2008; Zbl 1149.47038)].
