Lipschitz shadowing for contracting/expanding dynamics on average
The authors consider a difference equation on a Banach space given by \(x_{n+1}=A_nx_n+f_n(x_n)\), where \(A_n\) are bounded operators and \(f_n\) are arbitrary. It is proven that if \((A_n)\) is \(\nu\)-nonuniformly stable and \((f_n)\) satisfies two technical conditions that, roughly speaking, carry the meaning that the Lipschitz constants of \((f_n)\) are small on average, then the equation is Lipschitz shadowable. Another theorem in the similar spirit is given for the case when \(A_n\) are \(\nu\)-nonuniformly exponentially expanding. Furthermore, application to continuous time case is discussed, and the authors provide an example that this approach will not work if \((A_n)\) exhibits exponential dichotomy.
