nonlinear fitting of Khan isotherm parameters
This task estimates the parameters of the Khan isotherm model by nonlinear regression using equilibrium adsorption data. Experimental measurements of equilibrium adsorbed amount and equilibrium concentration are fitted to the Khan equation to determine the maximum adsorption capacity, affinity constant, and heterogeneity exponent. The fitting process minimizes the deviation between observed and predicted adsorption values across the concentration range. The resulting parameters characterize adsorption capacity, surface affinity, and heterogeneity of the adsorbent. This task is commonly applied in adsorption studies of aqueous pollutants and organic solutes.
