Nonlocal voting method
From MaRDI portal
We consider some natural and fairly common classes of choice functions generated by nonclassical (without pairwise domination) mechanisms of three basic types: Choice of the m best alternatives on a criterial scale, choice of the best m-package on a critical scale, and choice by approval. These classes of choice functions are not closed under the popular voting operator choose the alternatives which received more votes than other alternatives.
