I. Note on invariantisers of quantics. Durch einige Ergebnisse, welche der Verfasser in seiner Arbeit über eine Methode zur Reduction des elliptischen Differentialausdrucks erhielt (Lond. M. S. Proc. XIV. 196-198, F. d. M. XV. 1883. 375, JFM 15.0375.01), ist er zu einer nach seiner Ansicht neuen Auffassung der erzeugenden Operatoren von Invarianten gekommen. Da diese Methode neuerdings durch Herrn Leudesdorf (On some results connected with the theory of reciprocants. Lond. M. S. Proc. XVII. 197-219, F. d. M. XVIII. 1886. 88, JFM 18.0088.01) und Herrn Berry (Simultaneous reciprocants. Quart. J. XXIII. 260 ff., F.d. M. XX. 1888. 90, JFM 20.0090.01, und oben S. 100, JFM 21.0100.01) auf die Theorie der Reciprocanten angewandt ist, so setzt er seine Ideen des weiteren auseinander und wendet sie auf verschiedene besondere Fälle an.
