On splitting complete manifolds via infinity harmonic functions
From MaRDI portal
The authors prove several splitting results for manifolds supporting a non-constant infinity harmonic function which has at most linear growth on one side. They examine manifolds with non-negative Ricci or sectional curvature. In two dimensions, they extend \textit{O. Savin}'s theorem [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 176, No. 3, 351--361 (2005; Zbl 1112.35070)] on Lipschitz infinity harmonic functions in the plane to every surface with non-negative sectional curvature.
