Für eine Region zwischen \(RA8^h-14^h\), Deklination \(65^\circ-72^\circ\) hat Verf. die Variation der Sterndichte senkrecht zur Milchstraße näher ermittelt (Tabelle I). Er nimmt auf eine verallgemeinerte \textit{Malmquist}sche Formel \[ n(m,M) = \frac12 \frac{N(m,M')}{\sigma_s\sqrt{2\pi}}\cdot e^{-\frac1{2\sigma_s}(M-M')^2} \] Bezug und stellt die Anwendung einer Rotation \[ s=f(M) \] in Aussicht, wobei \(s\) einen Spektralcharakter bedeutet.
